Calibrate an External Camera

Learn how to calibrate an external camera (DSLR, drone, or any other camera)

Calibrating an externaly camera makes sense for Veezer Plus users to register an external camera.

In a nutshell, to calibrate an external camera (DSLR, drone, or any other camera):

1. Select zoom if any, and take checkerboard photos with your camera,
2. Place the calibration photos in a zip file,
3. Import the zip file.

Photos are then automatically calibrated in the app, and the calibration data is added to your database.

warning

If your camera allows to change the zoom level, setup the zoom once, before taking checkerboard photos, and take all your photos with the same zoom level.

Two distinct zoom levels should be managed like two separate cameras.
